We think and act green

As a family business, we are very conscious of our responsibility to future generations and offer all products for residential construction CO₂-neutral as standard. The Hörmann sustainability strategy aims to reduce and avoid emissions. We cover 100% of our electrical power needs at all European production sites with genuine green electricity from renewable sources. We also apply many other measures to reduce our consumption and save more than 75000 tonnes of CO₂ each year. We offset the remaining emissions by promoting certified climate protection Projects in cooperation with ClimatePartner.

Efficient thermal insulation

The plastic profile can be easily fitted together with the door frame, creating a thermal break between the door frame and brickwork, thus improving thermal insulation by up to 15%*. In addition, extra sealing lips on both sides and in the upper section of the door lower the loss of heating energy from the garage interior. The ThermoFrame frame connection is available as an option for all Hörmann sectional doors.

Optimum long-term protection

The brittle-resistant, 4 cm high plastic frame shoe encloses the door frame where it is prone to rusting and provides lasting protection against corrosion even in case of waterlogging, which is unmatched by competitor solutions.

Together with the threshold seal of the door, the frame shoe provides not only a functional, but also a visually appealing finish.

The lasting beauty of Duragrain decors

The Duragrain surface stands out on account of its detailed, natural and colourfast door appearance. An innovative digital printing on a galvanized section with a priming in RAL 9002 and a high-strength protective paint as a finish ensures a permanently attractive door appearance. The fascia panel and other accessories are available in a decor printing.

Uniform spacings

For a particularly harmonious door appearance, Hörmann divides the ribbing and the section transitions evenly at every door height. To add to the overall appearance, a practical side door with a ribbing alignment matching the sectional garage door is also available.

Matching appearance of frames and door leaves

The harmonious appearance of a door is the result of many small details: The fascia panel (1) provided always matches* the door sections. The side frames (2) are available with a white Woodgrain surface finish** as standard. With frame coverings, the side frames can be easily adapted to the surface finish of the sections.

Certified RC 2 security features

The LPU 67 Thermo and LPU 42 automatic sectional garage doors are optionally available with certified RC2 security features compliant with DIN/TS 18194. This means that your garage door will withstand an attempted break-in with tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wedges for at least 3 minutes. Certified burglar protection like this is also recommended by police information centres.

Added safety is a given

Uninvited guests barely stand a chance with Hörmann automatic sectional doors. When the garage door is closed, the anti-lift kit automatically engages in the boom’s stop, then locks immediately and is secured against forced opening.

This door locking works in a purely mechanical way and therefore, in contrast to competitor operators, remains effective even without a power supply

Endurance tests under real conditions guarantee well-engineered series products with an outstanding level of quality, allowing us to offer you a 10-year guarantee on all aluminium entrance doors and a 5-year guarantee on the Thermo65 entrance door range.

Our entrance doors are superior to plastic and timber doors in many ways. Thanks to perfectly matched high-quality materials, we set benchmarks in terms of stability, acoustic insulation and thermal insulation. What’s more, all of our entrance doors meet the requirements of the new Buildings Energy Act (Gebäudeenergiegesetz, GEG).

Fast and clean fitting process

Our robust aluminium entrance doors with RC3 security features are fitted professionally using pre-drilled fitting points, as with standard entrance doors from other manufacturers without RC equipment. Special fixing material is not necessary, despite the certified high security features.

Door leaf without visible leaf profile

The beautifully shaped solid door leaf, which is fully flush on the inside and outside with an internal leaf profile meets the highest design requirements. Our ThermoSafe, ThermoSafe Hybrid, ThermoPlan Hybrid, ThermoCarbon and Thermo65 entrance doors thereby extend you a particularly distinguished and elegant welcome.

Security features as standard

Our entrance doors make it especially difficult for burglars to break into your home. This is how we protect your home from uninvited guests. What’s more, the certified security features are not discernible to the naked eye, unlike with many competitor solutions.
