Our new double-action doors made of PE or stainless steel are used wherever fast and easy transit is of the essence. For example, when no hands are free or no product is to be put down. No matter whether as a single door set, combined with a high-speed door or, when appropriate, as a cost-effective, manual alternative to high-speed doors, the applications range far and wide: catering trade, supermarkets, production facilities, warehouses, craft businesses, store and trade fair construction and many more. Resistant to  -30°, they are suitable for use in cold stores and, thanks to their food-safe properties, especially in food production. The door leaf of the PE double-action doors comes with a 10-year warranty. The powerless operation means there are no follow-up costs or maintenance expenses.

Two door versions

The door leaves of the PE double-action doors consist of 15 mm thick moulded polyethylene PE 500. The stainless steel door leaves have a 40 mm thick foam core.

This makes both versions extremely hard-wearing and robust. The combination with our special, highly shock-proof and maintenance-free stainless steel hinges make the double-action doors extremely resistant and durable. The hinge system allows the door leaves to be opened to angles of 180° or 360°. This ensures the best possible flexibility in use.

Our double-action doors are custom made and delivered with a very high degree of prefabrication. They can be fitted very quickly and easily.

We think and act green

As a family business, we are very conscious of our responsibility to future generations and offer all industrial doors, operators, loading technology, construction project doors and perimeter protection systems for construction projects CO2-neutral upon request. The Hörmann climate protection strategy aims to reduce and avoid CO2 emissions. We cover 100% of our electrical power needs at all European production locations with purchased green electricity. 
We also apply many other measures to reduce our consumption and save more than 75000 tonnes of CO2 each year. We work with ClimatePartner to offset the emissions that we do generate by supporting certified climate protection projects.

The door leaves of Hörmann double-action doors consist of 15 mm thick moulded polyethylene PE 500 and are extremely durable and robust. When combined with impact-resistant stainless steel­hinges, you get a product that is very hard-wearing with a long service life. Even when subjected to extremely high stress, for example when used for forklift truck ­passageways, PE double-action doors are capable of taking the strain. Hörmann double-action doors also meet stringent hygiene standards: They are resistant to cold temperatures and water and are therefore ideal for use in food production environments.

Impact and break-resistant

Polyethylene PE 500 has good mechanical properties and is impact and break-resistant and therefore extremely robust. PE 500 does not absorb moisture and is resistant to acids and alkalis. Hörmann double-action doors are suitable for various climatic conditions in a temperature range from –30°C to +60°C. These properties make polyethylene the ideal choice for use in the food industry, in catering, in supermarkets and canteen kitchens. Easy to fit and maintenance-free

As all Hörmann double-action doors are supplied completely pre-assembled with frames and hinges, fitting is quick, easyand cost-effective. In addition, there are no follow-up costs, as double-action doors do not require any maintenance and are operated without power. With their versatile frame systems, Hörmann double-action doors are suitable for virtually any internal fitting situation.

Frame systems for all your requirements

The Hörmann frame system guarantees a stable wall connection for optimal and long-lasting door functionality, providing the door leaf with the ideal framework: lasting quality, reliable stability and a high level of resistance. All components are made out of stainless steel and can be used in different temperature conditions. Individual frame solutions in proven Hör­mann quality are also available for your wall type. The high degree of prefabrication (all frames are pre-assembled with the hinge and the door leaf) simplifies and speeds up the fitting process on site.

Double-action doors and high-speed doors are an ideal combination: Double-action doors are highly resistant and robust and enable fast, manual pedestrian passage. High-speed doors separate larger areas and offer high, automatic opening and closing speeds to regulate the passage.
