We think and act green

As a family business, we are very conscious of our responsibility to future generations and offer all products for residential construction CO₂-neutral as standard. The Hörmann sustainability strategy aims to reduce and avoid emissions. We cover 100% of our electrical power needs at all European production sites with genuine green electricity from renewable sources. Modern energy-saving door

Double-skinned sectional doors are particularly recommended for garages attached directly to the house. In addition to the LPU 42 with its very good thermal insulation, the LPU 67 Thermo offers everything that is expected from modern construction and renovation today: excellent thermal insulation through 67 mm thick thermal break sections with a U-value of 0.33 W/(m²·K)*, excellent sealing of the spacing between the sections using double lip seals and an optimum floor connection using double threshold seals, which also compensates for floor unevenness and reduces energy losses.

Efficient thermal insulation

The plastic profile can be easily fitted together with the door frame, creating a thermal break between the door frame and brickwork, thus improving thermal insulation by up to 15%*. In addition, extra sealing lips on both sides and in the upper section of the door lower the loss of heating energy from the garage interior. The ThermoFrame frame connection is available as an option for all Hörmann sectional doors.

Optimum long-term protection

The brittle-resistant, 4 cm high plastic frame shoe encloses the door frame where it is prone to rusting and provides lasting protection against corrosion even in case of waterlogging, which is unmatched by competitor solutions.

Together with the threshold seal of the door, the frame shoe provides not only a functional, but also a visually appealing finish.

Permanently beautiful Duragrain decors

The Duragrain surface stands out on account of its detailed, natural and colourfast door appearance. An innovative digital printing on a galvanized section with a priming in RAL 9002 and a high-strength protective paint as a finish ensures a permanently attractive door appearance. The fascia panel and other accessories are available in a decor printing.

Our sectional garage doors LPU 42 with L-ribbing and Duragrain surface finish now look even more harmonious: The fascia panel (1) of the doors is now also printed in the matching Duragrain decor of the door sections as standard. Other accessories such as the frame covering (2), the single-skinned panel, the fascia frame set, side door profiles or the aluminium glazing frames can also be supplied in matching Duragrain decor. The Duragrain surface finish is transferred to the door surface and accessories using an innovative digital printing process and boasts a true-colour, detailed design. An additional high-quality coating also makes the surface finish particularly robust, scratch-resistant and stain-resistant, ensuring a long-lasting, beautiful door appearance.

Door and garage door in a matching look

Modern door design with a matching look: Our new, exclusive Duragrain decors for LPU 42 sectional garage doors with L-ribbing are perfectly matched to the MatchDecor decors of the same name for our ThermoSafe aluminium entrance doors. This combination creates a harmonious overall appearance as if cast from the same mould. The five new decors Cement, Rusty Patina, Wild Oak, Barnwood and Barnwood grey provide an extraordinary door design and accentuate a modern facade design.

The new decors are transferred to the surface of the door using state-of-the-art technology and produce a true-colour and detailed appearance. A patented coating process is used for ThermoSafe MatchDecor entrance doors and an innovative digital printing process for garage doors. An additional protective coating makes the Duragrain surface particularly hard-wearing, scratch-resistant and stain-resistant and ensures a long-lasting, beautiful door view. The designs are available as Duragrain decors for LPU 42 sectional garage doors with L-ribbing and for ThermoSafe entrance doors as MatchDecor surface finishes for a total of 18 styles. 

Uniform spacings

For a particularly harmonious door appearance, Hörmann divides the ribbing and the section transitions evenly at every door height. To add to the overall appearance, a practical side door with a ribbing alignment matching the sectional garage door is also available.

Uniformly divided panelled doors

To create a harmonious overall appearance, the spacing between the individual panels of Hörmann sectional doors is exactly the same. This is achieved by using sections with the same height across the entire door height. The horizontal spacing between the panelswithin a section is also uniform. This gives the doors a uniform appearance. On request, side doors are also available with the same section spacing as the sectional garage door.

Doors from other manufacturers often have uneven panel spacing due to different section heights. This gives the door an uneven look.

Matching appearance of door frames and door leaves

The harmonious appearance of a door is the result of many small details: The fascia panel (1) provided always matches* the door sections. The side frames (2) are available with a white Woodgrain surface finish** as standard. With frame coverings, the side frames can be easily adapted to the surface finish of the sections.

Integrated wicket door without threshold rail

By having an integrated wicket door in your garage door, you can get to garden tools, bicycles or wheelbarrows in your garage quickly and easily. The wicket door features a stainless steel threshold that is only 10 mm high in the centre and 5 mm high at the sides. This reduces the risk of tripping and makes it easier to wheel things through.

LPU 42 PremiumPlus sectional garage door with increased corrosion protection

The LPU 42 PremiumPlus sectional garage door offers increased corrosion protection and is therefore particularly suitable for use in areas with a maritime climate, e.g. in coastal regions. The additional corrosion protection is achieved by a high-strength protective paint on the section exterior with cut edge sealing as well as a premium frame with powder-coated door hardware, tracks and connection rails. Additionally, the doors with S, M and D-ribbing have additional ribbing infill profiles for better sealing at the section transitions and in the ribbing area. The PremiumPlus version is available for all LPU 42 sectional garage doors with Woodgrain, Slategrain and Silkgrain surfaces.

Certified RC2 security features

The LPU 67 Thermo and LPU 42 automatic sectional garage doors are optionally available with certified RC2 security features compliant with DIN/TS 18194. This means that your garage door will withstand an attempted break-in with tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and wedges for at least 3 minutes. Certified burglar protection like this is also recommended by police information centres.

Added safety is a given

Uninvited guests barely stand a chance with Hörmann automatic sectional doors. When the garage door is closed, the anti-lift kit automatically engages in the boom’s stop, then locks immediately and is secured against forced opening.

This door locking works in a purely mechanical way and therefore, in contrast to competitor operators, remains effective even without a power supply.

BiSecur radio system with certified security

The bi-directional BiSecur radio system uses future-oriented technology to conveniently and securely operate garage door and entrance gate operators, other door operators, lights and more.

This extremely secure BiSecur encryption protocol, developed by Hörmann, with a stable, interference-free range, makes sure that no one can copy your radio signal. It was tested and certified by security experts at Bochum university and independent test institutes.

Smart operation and intelligent ease of use

You can operate your garage door and entrance gate operators, door operators, entrance door locks and many other things easily and conveniently via hand transmitter, radio button or app on your smartphone or tablet for maximum convenience. All operators, receivers and control elements are equipped with the certified Hörmann BiSecur radio technology and are fully compatible with each other.

With the Smart Home system homee you can control all door functions from the comfort of your sofa via your tablet or smartphone. 

Convenient querying of the door position

You no longer have to go out in wind and bad weather to check if your door is closed. At the press of a button, the colour of the LED on the HS 5 BS hand transmitter or the FIT 5 BS internal push button indicates the door position.  If required, another push of a button* closes the door. It is the most convenient and secure way to control your door.

If you use your garage as a hobby room, you also want a harmonious door view in the garage: With the Premium version of sectional garage doors LPU 42 and LPU 67 Thermo, the door hardware, frames, tracks and connecting rail are painted in Grey white RAL 9002 to match the section interior*. Furthermore, twin rollers ensure particularly quiet and low-wear door travel.

Easy, fast and professional cleaning

Cleaning doors and frames couldn’t be easier with the cleaning and maintenance set developed exclusively for Hörmann in collaboration with Sonax. With this set, you can achieve a professional finish – fast. This means that the construction components retain their colour intensity over the long term and are optimally protected against wear and corrosion. This set has been specially tested by Hörmann and includes a perfectly matched cleaner and polish. The set not only makes cleaning much easier but also reduces the risk of damaging the construction components.
