New functions for parking space management system Park NFC
Frantically trying to find loose change? Lost your parking ticket? With the Hörmann parking space management system Park NFC, such problems are a thing of the past. Thanks to near-field communication (NFC), bank and credit cards with NFC chips can be used both as a parking ticket and as a means of payment, making automatic pay stations and parking tickets redundant. The new Park NFC Lite version makes paying for parking even easier: when you drive into the car park, access is granted by simply holding your bank card in front of the payment terminal and a flat rate is deducted. Customers can then make use of the parking for the maximun possible time. The card is then held in front of the respective payment terminal when exiting, and a SEPA-compliant account debit for the individual parking costs.
Two more components have been added to Hörmann's Park NFC parking space management system: the door reader station and the remuneration station. The new door reader station ensures secure access control, for example for night access. Here, too, a bank or credit card can be used as a simple means of access. When it is held in front of the reading unit, the station checks authorisation in real time via an online data connection to the central unit – quickly and reliably. The 7" TFT colour display with touchscreen components can also be used as advertising space. The unit comes prepared for the installation of a secondary intercom, enabling personal communication with the car park attendants.
The new remuneration station can also be easily operated. For example, it can be placed at the checkout of retailers to give their customers a parking discount. Four different reimbursement types can be configured: fee-based reimbursement, time-based reimbursement, group change (customer groups) and tariff change (e.g. first hour of parking free). Up to four different amounts can be discounted within each of the reimbursement types. It is activated via a 3.5" TFT colour display with a touchscreen, and, again, the bank card is simply held in front of the integrated card reader. Thanks to its network connectivity, the remuneration station can be easily integrated into the Park NFC system.
