The “Out of the Shadows” campaign of the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) and the international medical and patient associations of the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE) is dedicated to increasing acceptance and awareness of this neurological disease of the brain.
The poster competition of 1999 provided an institutional framework for the awareness campaign for epilepsy as a neurological disease.
